It's ridiculous to assert that no significant advances have been made
outside the scientific world. Edison was not a scientist; he was an
inventor. Likewise with Henry Ford. Bill Gates is not a scientist.
I certainly hope you're not arguing that any of them advanced
science (except perhaps by financing research.)
No I am not. I'm refuting Rich's argument that all advances are due to
scientific achievements. (He also thinks that each advance has to go
through some sort of 'approval' process where the journals bequeath
credibility upon every major new product.
The inventor of the Grayfield microscope doesn't need a journal to
confirm his invention, although that might help in the marketing of the
product.
If the optics of the device allow resolution of virus-scale
particles with visible light, never mind medicine. Sell it
to the semiconductor industry and get rich beyond the dreams
of avarice.
In fact, that is one of the markets that Grayflied is selling to. They
have comparative photos of some semiconductors under micropscope.
If you still want to force the medical business to pay attention,
you'll then have the money to buy as many of them as you want.
I'm not selling them, so I won't see a penny from their widespread use.
Will Grayfield use its money to straighten out the medical community?
That is not their job to do that. Utlimately, the facts will force the
medical community to change course, nonetheless. How long that will
take is anybody's guess.
