Ok,
I was having a really bad pain in my back about 4 days, lower back to
be exact. I had what looked to be blood in my urine and just an
overall cloudy look. From what I gathered from the internet I assumed
that I had a kidney infection. I then began to take antibiotics that I
had from a previous urinary tract infection and the pain has gone away
a little. The pain is definetly still there but not nearly as bad but
still very annoying. Also it seems that the area where I have the pain
is tender.
I think the antiobiotics are probably working but I don't have many
left. Do I need to goto the ER? What will they prescribe me? I'm
sure they will prescribe me antibiotics but I would also like some pain
medication. My father had been given me lortabs and it has been the
only thing that has brough relief. Is it necessary for me to go? LIke
I said the pain seems less severe now.
See a doctor. You may not have a kidney infection at all. There are several
conditions that can cause the symptoms you describe -- even more if you are
female. You might even have a kidney stone. And the antibiotic you are
taking may be the wrong type, and, as Bee pointed out, partially treating an
infection risks developing a resistant infection. Don't mess with it. See a
doctor.
