Susan

You "come here to see what is happening"? Well, let me tell you.
What's happening here is that people are divided on issues of
health
at
the most fundamental level of thought, disposition, and motive.
I've
noticed that you *do* take sides, though you pretend not to. I'm
simply calling you on it. You lean into the wind just enough to
offer
support to those whose attacks are unrelenting against those
advocating
use of natural medicine. It's clear where you are coming from,
and
you
won't be afforded the luxury of sitting on the fence any longer
(you
were never there in the first place.)

Thanks for proving my point! I am not on 'your side' completely
so
I
am
what? I chat with those you do not approve of? Well too bad, I
will
'chat' with whom ever I would like to. Right now I don't want to
with
you. When you have something to say then maybe I'll be
interested.
You
have accused me of things on this group, Jan supported me when you
did
and that I appreciate, thanks Jan. You continue to try to get me
in
to a
battle of the words or something and I don't understand why you do
this.
I haven't done anything to attract your negatives. Have a good
life
Peter. UM MOM Susan

Good summation. Pretence and reading alternative thinking does not
make
one even astute in alternative solutions. Saying no to Rx does not
make
an alternative expert.

A point. Almost EVERY Rx has a better and safer alternative,
especially
antibiotics.

Tell that to someone with appendicitis, or tissue necrotizing
fasciitis,
or
brain abscess, or any of a myriad other life threatening infections,
or
even
an infection that is not life threatening, but is painful, like
prostatis,
or a big boil on the tuckus.

By the time some of these things have occured, invasive intervention is
the only option. No one is arguing against that. There is a place for
emergency medicine in treating those who fall over the cliff.

Yes, emergency first aid for injuries is the best option of course.

The
point is that nutrient status is the only meaningful marker in 98% of
human disease, as the WHO has clearly stated and as the scientific
evidence demonstrates. Bottom line: prescription drugs will always be
an inferior (and failed) substitute for optimal nutrition.

What do WHO state about nutrition Peter?
What is the 98%

I never heard anything about WHO clearly state anything in relation to
nutritional remedies.

You are right
That's because they never said it or implied it.

How do you know Vernon.

If you go to http://www.inchem.org/documents/jecfa/jecmono/v05je04.htm
you will see an explanation based on scientific trials, that show silica or
silicon dioxide is recognised nutritional supplement (one of the 12
essential cellsalts). But we don't hear much about it, or anything about it
actually.

1Seventeenth Report of the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives,
Wld Hlth Org. techn. Rep. Ser., 1974, No. 539;
FAO Nutrition Meetings Report Series, 1974, No. 53.

SILICON DIOXIDE AND CERTAIN SILICATES
"Observations in humans indicated that various conditions such as lung
diseases, chronic diseases and especially growth retardation in children
were associated with silicon deficiency. "

So maybe WHO and FAO (whoever they are) know all too well what people need
to keep them healthy.

98% of human disease IS due to poor nutrition. That isn't 98% of western
world disease.

No, just because people eat a *lot* of food doesn't mean they're getting
perfect nutrition.
There are plenty of people in our society who don't get adequate amounts of
certain vitamins and minerals.

Malnutrition is considered a disease.

Yes, we commonly associate malnutrition with people from third world
countries, but this is extreme malnutrition.
Low level malnutrition is just as rife in western society as extreme
malnutrition is in the third world.

Excess sugar / carbohydrates is a primary culprit in a lot of the
remaining.
Before anyone blows a gasket about low carb diets, excess carbohydrates
means balance. Eating ONLY the carbohydrates from wheat is excess.
