My dear Aaron. I was very close to a black little boy, age 13 who was a geat
kid. The family finally learned he had leukemia. Many times he started with
uncontrollable bleeding. And his doctor here tried to tell us that it would
pass. We had seen it too many times. Time after time we would rush him to
Cincinnati praying that he wouldn't die on the way. I stayed with him (so
his
mom would not loose her job) on the floor with all the other kids who had
leukemia, it was a humbling experience. When he would go into the terrible
chills I put my body on top of him to keep him warm. I was with him when
they
did bone marrow tests. I have never been squeamish, but I had to leave the
room .Bless his heart, he came out saying, you chicken you couldn't take it
could ya?

These experimenting treatments went on for nine months. We became
friends of others parent's who had already lost their kids. Finally after so
long, the mom said enough!

We knew how long it would be before he died. We all
gather together to be with him when he died. I don't know what more could be
done, but I do know that a parent can only stand so much of these terrible
treatments.

Now tell me all about leukemia again.
