A year is a long time -- long enough for the
adhesives, etc. to have outgassed nearly all
of their solvents, etc. I once worked in an
office that was extensively remodelled, and
the solvents in the air were so thick I could
even taste them in my mouth in the evening,
hours after going home. However, they cleared
up after 2 or 3 weeks.

Is it possible there's something in the neighborhood
emitting stuff, like an incinerator, dry cleaning shop,
landscape/nursery, etc.?

Could you take a vacation somewhere for a week
to see if the symptoms clear up?
