Done.
** Plan
- Clean and Press 24kg (1-2-3) x 5.
- Easy Snatches 24kg for (2 dice) minutes 50-60% effort.
** Actual
- Clean and Press 32kg 5 singles.
- Easy Snatches 24kg for 9 minutes 84 total snatches.
** Notes
The cleans and presses went very well--especially considering the
fact that I was not actually planning on lifting the 32kg bell
today. I had a little time during the day, and so I decided to
test myself a bit. The first cleans and presses went up easily,
and one hour later a second strict set went up as well. I had
never been able to do more than a single strict set in a day, so I
was a little surprised. One hour later I was able to do another
strict set, and so I decided to simply try and turn the clean and
press single into a set of three with each hand. The weight went
up smoothly without even needing a break between reps.
I think that means that I am ready for ladders up to 3. So I am
going to start using the 32kg bell for cleans and presses.
The snatches went considerably less well. I got started really
late, and I really felt like passing altogether. I did sets of 7
in each hand at the top of every minute for the first 5 minutes. I
then skipped a minute, and finished with the last 14 snatches. I
still had two minutes on the clock when I packed things up. I
could have done more, and I probably should have done more, but I
decided to take Pavel at his word and just put in a 50% effort.
I really needed to have rolled a lower number today. I simply did
not have the heart to do snatches today.
I'm a little surprised that you're pressing the 32kg before swinging
it. Not that I'm an expert, but this seems backwards to me.
