I know that the recommended daily amount of salt is 6 grams, but
should it be more if you exercise alot. I try to exercise 2 hours a
day 5 days aweek. I sweat alot and assume that I loose alot of salt
during exercise. Is this correct?
I'm pretty sure that, the more you exercise, the less salt you lose as
your body adapts, but you'd have to balance concentration and quantity
here.
Generally speaking, no one who lives in a modern, Western society needs
to be concerned about getting enough salt - we all get more than we
need, even if we exercise a lot.
My recollection is that the daily requirement is 3 grams, not 6.
