There are always selection pressures. And it's easy to find examples
of recent adaptation. I'm still waiting for a non-evolutionary

Evolution never stops. Evolutionary pressure varies plus the rate of evolution varies. There is NO evolutionary pressure for us to adapt to eating battery chickens or feed lot cattle. None. At all.
