You may recall the two chaps at my Firm who I encouraged to do
multi-session exercise using stationary bikes in their offices.

They have both done remarkably well and have lost in excess of two

become absolute devotees. They now want to get a multi-gym each for
use in their homes.

I have never been too keen on these machines and suggested the usual
free-weight set-up, but they are determined to go the multi-gym way
and have asked me to help.

So reluctantly I have come up with this beast, which covers all the
bases and is relatively cheap (just in case it becomes the usual
clothes rack):

Any thoughts or opinions people.

I think multi-gyms are bullshit, and that you know they're bullshit, and
that you shouldn't be an enabler for things which you think are bullshit.

I think exercise bikes are "bullshit" too, but working on the theory
that any exercise is better than no exercise, I have encouraged these
two to good effect.

If they insist on getting them, make it clear they're on their own.

I certainly won't do that and using the above criteria I believe I
have facilitated great motivation and will continue so to do.

As I said earlier, it's a Bank Holiday here (thank goodness) and I'm
looking forward to a hair of the dog (HOTD) just as soon as the sun
crosses the yard-arm.

You can see the sun? Solidly overcast here.

You don't need to be able to see the sun for it to cross the yard-arm
- you ill-informed landlubber!! And don't forget Tom, the sun always
shines on the righteous!! ;o)

What a lovely day it was yesterday at Twickenham though - absolutely
gorgeous.

Have a great Bank Holiday - I am!! ;o)
