Does not have to be a "shootout". One well aimed shot would do.
My point was that hospitals are generally "gun free" zones. That fills
them with helpless victims.
I work in health care. I cannot even commute with a weapon in my car
because I can't leave it in the car in the parking lot, and I cannot
take it in the building.
And our security guards are also unarmed.
We are totally helpless against an armed maniac.
