need help for gaining weight and building muscles



Hi all,
I am a busy 28 y.o. male with 5'7" height and 120lbs weight. MY
body fat % is 11.5. I want to gain weight and build muscles. I have
been very irregular in eating for years and often go without eating
for more than a day. I don't have a lot of cooking experience. I have
been a vegetarian all my life but I have recently tried meat and don't
like it because I begin to think about what I am eating and its life.
I rarely exercise.

So I have several questions. I don't know where to even start.
1. Should I keep trying to eat meat? are there any tips that can help
me in doing so?
2. Can I build muscles with a vegetarian diet?
3. What kind of exercises should I do and how often?
4. Should I see a nutritionist?
5. Are there any easy recipes and easy menu planning ideas?
6. Are there any books on diet and exercise that can help me?

I will appreciate any kind of help..
