For deadlift you need to develop isometric grip strength. Rack pulls
and/or holds work best, but you can simply use your bodyweight and do
timed hangs (one armed, once you get better). Farmer walks with
dumbbells aren't bad either. Heavy dumbbell shrugs work and one-armed
deadlifts are (supposedly) fun too. Grippers help, if you don't go
stupidly crazy with them.
