Are you and Curt big time Scrabble players or something??

Using all seven tiles during one turn is a thing of beauty. And an
extra fifty points! ;o)

Bonus trivia: QAT is defined as the leaves of the shrub Catha edulis
which are chewed like tobacco or used to make tea; has the effect of a
euphoric stimulant.

Ooh I did not know that it was worth an extra score!
I'll have to try a little harder next time. ;-)

The only game I love more than Scrabble is Boggle.

:oD

Do you play it?

Honestly, I don't play Boggle but do have it on a disk somewhere. I
picked it up at Staples or another big box office supplies store for
$9.99, iirc. I know it's a box game with a cup and dice, too, right? I
love Scrabble, though.

I tended to beat everyone all the time at that one. I have a skill for
patterns. <G>

And 3 letter word scores can add up quickly if you get enough of them!

Not familiar with Boggle. I bet there's an online version.

I love most any word game.

With the help of some friends, I even have my own word game online at
http://iam.bmezine.com/?curt - which is a pay site, but inexpensive at
only ten bucks for six months, I think. Mostly for people interested
in bodyart, but there's a big cross-section of people and
personalities.

We named the game Switch. It's easy to play and may already be
available in some other form. Basically you take a word and then
switch, add, or subtract letters to make another word. No scoring
involved. Visitors participate simply for fun.

Example:

switch
sTitch
sCOtch
scRAtch
craYON
yonDER
yodeL
CoVe
cAve
cRave
craveN
raven
ravenOUS

Etc., etc.

That's a bad example because I didn't switch (other than by addition
and subtraction) any letters, but players do scramble letters to make
a new word. Rules are very flexible in Switch. :o)

Anywhoo.
