Guys, I am just PISSED!
About 6 months ago, I used the following bodyfat calculator to see
where I stood:
http://www.he.net/~zone/prothd2.html
With a 15 1/2" neck and 37" at the bellybutton, my bodyfat was pretty
high at around 24%. I sure didn't look or feel fat, but hey, that's
what the test said.
Since then, I've been limiting myself to about 1500 calories a day.
I've cut out all soda and sweetened drink, I just drink water. I've
completely removed white flour from my diet, and instead eat whole
wheat. My protein intake is at about 140g/day (I weigh 175), and I eat
a lot of chicken and whole grain rice. I've also added cardio on my
off days (twice a week), using the treadmill at 3.4mph with an incline
of 10 (the highest my treadmill will go) for 20 minutes (just over a
mile).
1 to 2 hours 5 days per week at 60-70 percent of maximum heart rate. Max is
approx 220-age.
Bob
