I have little room available for a weight set. How feasible would a
dumbell-only routine be? Also, what should I look for in a dumbell

True dat.
And if you'd like to spend some money at the local bookstore, let me
recommend Matt Brzycki's recent dumbbell book.

It's a compact book (about 8" x 5") and only 160 pages, but it's
thorough and clearly written.
Is he still doing the crappy research to validate his thoroughly
disproven HIT training?
