I have little room available for a weight set. How feasible would a
dumbell-only routine be? Also, what should I look for in a dumbell
set? How much weight should be available for progression?

answer.

True dat.

And if you'd like to spend some money at the local bookstore, let me
recommend Matt Brzycki's recent dumbbell book.

http://www.amazon.com/Dumbbell-Training-Strength-Fitness-Brzycki/dp/0976336138

It's a compact book (about 8" x 5") and only 160 pages, but it's
thorough and clearly written.
