I have just started getting into lifting after a very long time away

that I started working out my muscles were very sore (no surprise)
however now they are just tired. Am I not working out hard enough or
is this normal?
Thanks
the 'soreness' debate may continue until someone has some actual proof
about what causes it. in on of fred hatfield's books, he says that
soreness is caused by the release of hydroxyproline during intense
work.
muscles, as far as i know, do not have internal pain sensing
nerves...so the pain is coming from something other than the muscle.
my opinion is that it's caused by tendon and fascia damage during
intense work.
if you're 'tired' then you probably just need to add another rest day
or two between your workouts.
