HI all,

I am going on a cruise in a week. For the last month I have been
doing
cardio every day and HIT workouts M-W-F. I am probably as big
as I am
going to get but now want to get as much definition i can before
the
trip.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get the
best
definition in the week I had left?

Eat 800 calories of protein only...no fat, no carbs...with six
fish oil
capsules a day, and various fiber supplements, for the week, while
doing as
much HIIT (that's high intensity interval training, a form of
cardio) as
possible. Then, the evening before the cruise, eat a shitload of
simple
carbs...a huge fucking shitload.

The diet and exercise will lose the maximum amount of fat,
glycogen, and
water, while retaining most of the muscle. Then the carbs will
refill the
muscles with glycogen, making you look as lean as possible.

thanks all for the great suggestions!!!

Hey, another question. Despite doing cardio--- should I do light
weights high reps everyday on the muscles?

If you have only a week, HIIT will lose more fat than weightlifting. A
week won't add any appreciable muscle, but you could lose a visably
appreciable amount of fat.

David,
Do you mean HIT? If so, where did you get the idea that it loses more
fat than any other form of weight workouts? If this were true, all top
BBers would use it, but none do.

Rob, Rob, Rob...ya' gotta' read the whole post! To quote myself ('cause
who better to quote): "HIIT (that's high intensity interval training, a
form of cardio)".

You still have the Boxers? How are the dogs' doing? Any problems with
the recent pet food unpleasantness?

Both boxers and 8 cats are great. Luckily I have never used any of those
pouched foods. Back to training, that type of interval training is far
less effective in burning fat stores than longer periods of lower
intensity cardio.

But if the time is fixed...if you have, say, one half hour a day to do
cardio...then a half hour of HIIT is more energy intensive than one half
hour of steady lower intensity cardio.

David

It may be more intensive for burning calories, but you also could end up
burning more muscle too. I guess it depends upon what you want to do, but if
your goal is to hold on to as much muscle as possible, or even gain muscle
while losing fat, you would be better off trying to make more time.
