March's Humour Awards results:
Bronze!
The Bronze medal goes to David Cohen and Seth Breidbart for their
exchange:
Cohen: "There are the 120 year old Russians up in the Ural
Mountains
who smoke like chimneys."
Breidbart: "Therefore, smoking is not bad for you. Or, lying about
your age is good for you (at least relative to the claimed age).
Cohen: "Only three days old post. Your quantum space-time bubble
must
be shrinking, Seth.
~Silver!~
The Silver medal goes to ATP* for:
"We don't want to hear your anti-semantic drivel!"
In response to vernon O's, "Don't play you stupid little semantic
game
of identifying some substance that is controlled as not being
prescription."
~*Gold!!!*~
And the Gold medal goes to Tom Anderson and GeeSeeEye for their
exchange:
GeeSeeEye: "Very soon I am going to have access 24 hours a day 7
days
a week to a gym, and nothing else to really do with my time. I will
have this access for about 7 to 8 months."
Tom Anderson: "You're going to prison?"
GeeSeeEye: "No, I am going to iraq. So, prison in a sense ;-)"
BONUS!
And as an addition to this month's Humour Awards, Andrzej
encouraged
the inclusion of Spam of the Month:

The one most important thing you can do to dramatically slow down
the
aging process, is muscle mass.It controlls your metabolism and more
importantly creates ANABOLIC hormonal mesages to the brain.
Remember
survival of the fittest, your brain does not know your in the gym
working out it thinks your trying to escape from some predator. For
more info please check out the website and trailor of the new
living
proof DVD. <snip> Thank you

Very nice. :-)
That "anti-semantic" thing will be handy in many a usenet
discussion...
Anti-semantic? Means you don't like Jews right?
I'm half Jewish... Remember? ;-)
Nah, it's a PUN! And a rather good one at that.
But I know you knew that...
btw amazing recipes you posted couple of days ago -
Thanks! It was actually a pretty simple menu.
The entire meal was done in under 1 hour.
I started baking the fish first, then did the other stuff.
Threw together the salad so the two house guests could have an
appetizer, (I'd overslept so they ended up already here when I got
started!) then did the shrimp and veggies.
food is around half the equation
my wife says you are
pretty talented but I tell her I could be just as good - all I would need
is
a weekend workshop with a good cook, right?
Join rec.food.cooking, or alt.binaries.food.
It's where I've learned a lot of stuff over the past few years.
Honestly, the major secret of really good food is to keep it simple, and
use your imagination.
Yes but you do need the bacic ingredients - that is some talent. You can't
make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
