Keith, if you read this, i'd love to hear you expand on that.

I agree with Keith, and to be honest, i never even realized that the
scapulae are more or less locked into position in the flat bench.

I stopped doing them about 15 years ago. Low inclines and dips seem to work
miracles for the pec/delt/tri area.

Ever tried this;

Select the angle of the incline in a way that your sternum is about parallel
to the floor. This is usually a 15-30 degree angle. Grip the bar a bit more
than shoulder width. Let the arms flare to the sides when lowering the bar.
Lower to the upper chest, and then press 3/4 of the way up. That will work
the pecs very intense.
