Thats exactly what happens to me in the afternoon. Around 3-5pm, i start
to
get sleepy, and slight into a dream. I wake up after a few minutes,
dissoriented, scared, and with an elevated heart beat. Which make me feel
more tired.

I never wake up scared, just a bit drowsy. Goes away when I get up and
move around. Changing positions in the truck when I'm driving also helps
drive off the snoozies if I have not taken my adderal.

I googled that one. They dont have that one here.

Do you crave carbs when you wake up perchance?

No, but i am very thirsty. And my first choice is usually a sweet fruit
juice.

Have you been checked for hypoglycemia?

A long time ago, not recent. But they will do that also on April 5, when i
attend the hospital.

My issue does not involve any set times... Yours might be related to
post-lunch?

Not really, but i know what you mean. I usually have that after a huge plate
of spaghetti.

What i experience in the afternoon is more related to my absence of Nrem or
phase 4, or delta sleep.

A 4 hour glucose tolerance test could Dx that. Docs rarely use
the 4 hour one anymore, but I've read that that is the best way to rule
out that problem.

I think they will do that.

I am scheduled for april 5, and the next time i see him is may 8.
Which from my point of view is very long, since things are getting worse
each week.

Do you sleep at night, at all?

Well, last night i slept from 1 to 8am. I woke up at aprox. 5, 6 and 7am,
after which i have a hard to get to sleep again. It feels like my brain is
going overtime. This may sound weird, but i thoughts in the early morning
that feel as if they are not mine. I think i wake up from a dream and the
brain is still going. This dissorients me and scares me. It takes at least
10-15 minutes to get the heart rate normal.

How long?

Anything from 6-9 hours, which seems normal. But mostly Rem. No Nrem. No
deep sleep.
With 10-20 dreams. I wake up exhausted. Took a massive cup of coffee. Which
doesnt work as it did in the past.

Be sure to share that info. with your doc. :-)

Sure. And they hook me up anyway. I believe they will let me sleep during
the day, with intervals. I believe they want to see what goes on in my brain
when i fall asleep, and the 2 hours after. They repeat that 3-4 times.

Have you been checked for sleep apnea?

Yes. 3 times. First time i had a 26 AHI index. Which is scary, since my
oxygen dropped to 78%.

They also confirmed that my sleeping pattern was completely fragmented. No
deep sleep whatsoever.
The doctor i saw last time said that this could be related to a form of
narcolepsy.

Sounds like the doc is doing a thorough job then.

Once again, best of luck.

Sleep disorders suck!
