Also, i was never inspired by guys like
Zane. Or Bannout Yeah, sure, great
Iirc, Zane was in a beer commercial a millions years ago as an Oly
lifter. He looked hella impressive in that.
Zane was massive in the sixties. I have pictures of him from the 63-67 era,
and he actually looked quite big for way back then.
I'd never heard of Bannout
until I saw a pic of him in Lurie's Muscle Training Illustrated. He
seemingly popped out of nowhere.
He was around since the late seventies. You can also see him in Arnolds
video about the 1980 comeback.
Definitely someone who set the trend
for the Christmas tree, or do I have that wrong?
His back was amazing in 1983. Thats for sure. But then again, a lot of guys
were amazing in 83.
I liked Sergio, Arnold and Haney. Not to
mention Bertil and several NABBA
monsters.
And re Haney, I'm looking at mesomorphosis.com in another browser.
Does Haney have anything on DVD?
I made my own, i guess. I downloaded a rip from the video. I am looking for
more, but cant find it.
I am looking for the Olympia contests in the Haney/Dorian era.
And Lenda too. Cant find anything.
I remember owning one of his videos
back in the day. He and Ty Felder working out. Haney is a speaker, for
sure. Entertaining and informative.
That is the one i have. Yes, quite good. When you watch, you feel like
working out.
Which is the whole point of the video, and ovbiously clearly understood by
Lee.
http://www.leehaney.com/
His website offers a "remastered workout DVD" as part of his Lee
Haney's Competitive Mass Series.
At $115 bucks for the kit, I'm not sure I'll be making that purchase
anytime soon, if ever.
Thats a LOT of money.
I am sure you can find rips somewhere.
I still watch Pumping Iron. I have 30 or so vids
on my hard drive, but i rarely watch them.
From Coleman to Levrone and Dorian to
Lee Priest.
Have you seen Levrone in his new movie or movies?
I have 2 of his movies, Maryland muscle machine and Full Blown. And a small
piece where he and Shawn are woirking out tohether. I believe Boyer and
Lenda are in that too.
I saw a recent picture where he looked anorexic. And unhappy.
There was something
in at least one of the muscle magazines.
Columbu did his version of the action adventure hero films.
Havent seen it.
Coleman is very impressive, and the weights
are awesome, but he talks nonsense. Really,
he does.
I've never purchased any of his DVDs. In what way does he talk
nonsense? Insane? Incorrect info? Gibberish?
All the above. I actually gonna start a few of his videos now.
In On the Road, he claims he is doing lower back, and lower back only by
doing all kinds of rows. You can clearly see, that the interviewer is a bit
confused about it.
"And after that, it will a one armed row (db-row) and it will be for my
lower back also..."
?!?!?!
I've heard he favors some
explicit lyrics, but not sure if you'd characterize that as nonsense.
I actually deleted an interview, where he is making a complete idiot of
himself, and all the other O contenders are present.
Did you read about his nerve problem? As his explanation for his
weaker lat during the recent Olympia? I'm wondering if he'll be back
to his former Olympia shape by year's end.
From what i have seen, he was holding a bit water. Still, he was moreimpressive than Jay.
I think they both dissapear any time soon.
Haney is more or less the only one i watch,
besides Arnold.
Also, find ways to reward yourself after a
grueling intense workout. Sounds childish,
yes, but those subtle things help you going.
I agree, but Kim Basinger won't return my calls!
Stalk her!
