I think he just failed to put it correctly, but he's essentially
correct. The proper way to do it is to go to the check in desk and tell
them you have a fire arm to check in. TSA guy will show up, inspect it,
put the TSA tag inside, and thats it. As long as it is in a proper
locked case, they will accept it. It's very easy and I have done it a
dozen times at this point.
