Ahh, opinions mean nothing, so you can leave that FACT out.
But let's look at the facts.
1) This happened BEFORE the Florida law takes effect (It does not go into
effect until Saturday). So this law has nothing to do with that case.
2) The guy got a meagre (your spelling) punishment. So that means that the
courts decided the guy was JUSTIFIED in his actions (at least to some
extent). Seems maybe there was more too it than just a kid pulling a prank.
3) Accidents happened before this law, they will happen afterwards.

If you go walking in the bad section of downtown at 3 AM, and you get
mugged, was that your fault? NO. But you damn sure have to accept some of
the responsibity for the outcome (not criminally, but as a person with
integrity).
Just grinds your shorts that some state actually believes in the
Constitution, don't it?
I suggest you not come to Florida, it's way too dangerous for you. We have
some folks down here that believe in rugged individualism (and are willing
to accept responsibility for their actions--I know you lefties cannot stand
someone who takes responsibility for their actions). Some how, I don't think
there will be a huge whole in my life.
