I haven't had hair to my shoulders since fifth grade. And that was...
(counts on fingers and toes) 1972. Ouch.

I'm not a daily head shaver. When I was dating my last girlfriend it
was about two or three days a week. She loved the shaved head! Now I'm
every two weeks or so. And I can use blades multiple times as what
hasn't been removed by male pattern baldness is quickly diminishing and
so the blade has an increasingly lower work requirement, seemingly,
each time called to duty. ;-)
Braun? They're supposed to be fantastic. I have an Oster adjustable
hair clipper that I purchased nearly ten years ago and have never
replaced anything on it. I zap my scalp to zero and then run a blade
over it.
Sometimes I'll use my Norelco 3805XL (yeah, I looked) electric razor
and let it go at that, but - typically - I'll shave first with the
Oster (or the Norelco depending on length) and follow-up with the a
blade - Trac II, Mach3, or Schick's Quattro. I really don't notice much
difference between all those.
And I really do have a forum called iam.bald over on
http://iam.bmezine.com/ which is a closed or pay-per community, but
hella fun. My /good friend/ mica may have some feedback on IAM, but I'm
not sure she's ever been a member. She does frequent the newsgroup
rec.arts.bodyart and there is some cross-over between that ng and IAM.
