Absolutely! There are undoubtedly all sorts of conditions and restrictions stated in these contracts. I would imagine that houses beyond a certain age will not be covered at all, but that is buried in the fine print and the consumer is responsible for spotting and acknowledging it. They would probably let you sign up and pay, even though your house could NEVER receive any benefits.
