Why is ethanol causing a lot of other prices to rise?

Milk is supposed to raise to $5.00 a gallon by the end of the year

other products will follow.

I was for ethanol but after realizing it will cause other prices to
go
up and the price to get gas will be the same or higher. I am not
for it.

The U.S. economy may be headed for a recession, hopefully not a
depression if these ethanol plants are built.

I would rather pay $4.00 a gallon for gas then $5.00 a gallon for
milk
or have higher prices for other products.

It takes a lot of energy, petroleum, or petroleum derived electricity
and petroleum to make ethanol. It's a fools errand to switch to more
expensive ethanol, that gives less mpg too.

We finaly dive into bio-fuels, and this is the shit we come up with?
I think it's time to look for something else. Ethonol is a rip off. :\

I think it's high time that the gas internal combustion engiine is
replaced, and replaced quickly with electric motors or a combustion
engine that does not run on gas, ethonol or any of that crap. The tech
is over 100 years old and it has had it's run, and it's just not worth
the health of the planet, not to mention people's lives both in terms
of health, and people fighting over oil reserves to try to keep this
dead end going. Electric car tech has been around almost as long as
the car itself, and I think it's sad that there has been little
advancement in that regard.

All very nice but just words without substance. The electric car may be a
solution for the future but these days most electricity is generated by
burning COAL which puts more CO2 and other crap in the air than burning
fuel
directly in an ICE does. What's the point?

We need comprehensive changes that consider the whole system and
infrastructure for solutions to out energy problems.

Actually, I find it extremely humorous that a technology
born over 100 years ago, under commensurable primitive
conditions, cannot be replaced today with the advanced
technology available.

Most/all solutions today merely relocate the harmful port-
ions of the process to somewhere much less noticeable.
