Turns out the nation's second-largest electronics retailer fired
3,400 employees at its stores across the country yesterday,

The old workers will now be replaced by new workers
who will be paid less..

The word is store managers will now hire new employees at
"current market rate" pay. The company declined to say how
much replacement workers will be paid, saying it will vary by
region.

Steven Rash was one of 11 workers fired at a North Carolina
store.

The Asheville store manager broke the news to Steve and
others at 8 in the morning and then escorted the suddenly
ex-employees out the door.

''They called us in and said, 'Hey, you're leaving,' '' another
employee said less than two hours after getting the news..
''I'm still in shock. I can't believe it.''

Steve had been on the job seven years, had worked
for the compnay since he was 17.

Steve was making $11.59 an hour when he was
canned.

And what does the company say?

Nothing but the usual cowardly corporate mumbo-jumbo.

"We deeply regret the negative impact on the affected
associates. It was no fault of theirs."

And for those of you who may be concerned - and may be
thinking - how is the company CEO doing?

Well, SEC filings tell us this particular CEO received a salary
of $716,346 last year.

In addition, the same CEO was also granted a juicy $704,700
Christmas bonus.

Not only that, the same company that did the firing owes the same
CEO who ordered the firing $3 million long-term compensation in
stock awards and another $340,000 in underlying options, according
to the SEC fillings.

Of course, if they lose their customers, they will get justice.
DO NOT do business with Circuit City.

BOYCOTT CIRCUIT CITY

Since when did the ability to sell a music cd become more than a
minimum wage job?

Sorry guys, This is really a no brainer. The last time I went to CC.
The help there
was.....well there wasn't any.

7 bucks and hour is too much for these lazy kids.
