I think it's wrong to lie on your resume, esp. if it's about a school
you (supposedly) graduated from or jobs that you didn't actually have.

Have you heard of people who lied on their resume, got hired, and then
got fired because they had misled people on their resume?

Oh yeah. I was trying to find a cite but I can't really recall the
details of some high visibility school administrator who had a
completely made up resume here in Michigan a few years ago. He was
completely busted.


I can imagine getting fired because you claimed to have a required
skill but didn't have it. But would they fire you because you said you
didn't go to a school you claimed to go to?

Why not? Who wants to keep a known liar around?
