Incorrect. Naybe in your state, they are not permitted.
Mewspapers in my state have called attention to the fact that bad debts
are sold to firms that employ attorneys to prosecute their claims in
small claims court.
How is a corporation supposed to pursue a small claim in your state?
You believe the company's attorney is not allowed. So who goes into
court for the company? Who goes into court for an incorporated dental
practice?
You should research things like this before you make a silly
post.
It's your own post that is silly. You seem to think that a dentist has
to give up a day full of appointments made long in advance in order to
attend a court session where he is one of many being sued. I am sure
that research on your own part would show this is not so.

Well, at this time, the issue is before the board of dentistry; and it
just so happens that this is not his first "infraction." (We didn't
know this before, although we did check).
To keep this story simple -- I want to "go to the press" with this
story. I want to write an article about it -- with the notion that the
entire story will state that "I think," or, "In my opinion."
Would this be a practical move?
Thanks,

No newspaper is going to print your allegation against a person with a
professional license. Laws of libel could lead to a judgment against
the newspaper in such a case.. If you get a favorable court decision,
they may print that. It would appear that the dentist had more than
one set of dentures made, and that he delivered the wrong ones to your
wife and to another patient. If he is successfully blamed in your
wife's matter, them his fault in the matter of the other patient
becomes public. He will fight you tooth and nail to prevent that. Get
an attorney, Or stand outside his office with a signboard saying that
dentures obtained from this practice don't fit.
