I haven't run into a seller yet that wouldn't take a USPS money
order (which gives you some degree of fraud protection) or a
credit card "convenience check".

Of course, if you pay by credit card, even via Paypal, you get
the full protection of a credit card purchase. I don't like
Paypal a whole lot (or any of my credit card issuers) but if
your principles are so strong that you won't use it under any
circumstances, then you're sacrificing the convenience and
protection the credit card offers you (at no cost to YOU).

I'd rather take my chances. I have never yet had a seller not send
the items. I have bought some real junk thiough. But considering the
largest dollar stuff I normally get on ebay is under $50, I'll risk
the $50 or less before I risk identity theft and all the other
hassles. At least my banking info is not being posted online in any
manner, and I like it that way.
