That's a defect in the firmware of your DVD player. Some DVD players allow
you to update the firmware by burning it to a CD or DVD blank with a
computer DVD(R/W) or CD(R/W) drive. Look into that. If not, I'd suggest
you buy a new DVD player. They are so cheap now that if you have to make a
few phone calls even to get it repaired, you might as well trash it. -Dave
