Larry,

I don't have an HDTV but see that my cable service offers only the
following channels in HD:

ESPN HD
Discovery HD
HD Net
HD Net Movies

I assume that getting HD to my home would require the program to be
recorded in HD (which you say is happening already for most prime time
network offerings) and that the cable service receives and sends the HD
signal to its subscribers. If true, I'd go along with the fellow you
responded to rather than going along with your thoughts. At this time, I
wouldn't buy a HDTV because, as the fella pointed out, "there is not enough
HD material out there." OK, I suppose I could drop my cable service and buy
and subscribe to satellite service, but then I'd lose my broadband cable
internet. Given this info, would you agree with me?

Craig
