Thought I'd throw this out there, anyone have any advice?
So back in March of this year, I made a purchase at Strawberries Music and Video store. They happened to be running a promotion that day, where you could sign up to have three issues of three different magazines delivered to your door over the next three months. They did not request any credit card information, just my address and the magazines I'd like to receive. Now, I know many magazines offer a free trial where you sign up, get the mag free for a couple months, and then they begin to bill you. This was not the case, at least it made no mention of it. I payed for my initial purchase with my credit card, and left.
you might google for the 800 number you have. i have unraveled many scams by using google this way. even filed an ftc and fcc complain for a scammer calling cell phones, their phone carrier shut them down!
you will find others that had the same problem, and how they fixed the problem, numbers to call, who not to send checks to, etc.
today i googled "207 east ohio st" from a bill i received, try it. billing scam that must have "suites" in every mailboxes etc in the world.
