Public transport can be run off electricity. Not just trains and trams,
but trollybuses too. I have lived in a city that used trollybuses and
do know how boring it is waiting while the driver tries to get the
pantograph reconnected to the power lines :-)
And alcohol is easier to store and use than hydrogen. Not as clean
though.
