Think of the amount of packages Amazon has to ship on a daily
basis. They easily have enough to ship to a metropolitan area in
any given day. MANY people have noticed the significant slowdown
of late, which definitely coincided with the introduction of
Amazon Prime. And what really sucks is that it stays in the
"shipping soon" (aka you can't cancel it anymore) for an
extended period of time, so when you're finally fed up with the
delay, you can't cancel it.
