I have no personal experience. This is hearsay. I have read numerous
complaints about "fast-serve" oil change places.

However, I have also read numerous complaints about dealerships,
independent mechanics, chain auto repair places, etc. I imagine there
are probably some terrific choices in each realm and some not so
terrific, with the majority of them just being average.

You answered your own question with saying you need to go elsewhere, or
consider changing oil yourself. Not that tough of a job. I actually
find it to be somewhat theraputic.
