Does quadrafire make a cast iron stove now? I've had good experience
with their plate steel stoves.

Few makers produce cast iron stoves any more
because they radiate heat uniformly in all directions.
Steel stoves usually have thermal insulation on the
bottom and sides so that most of the heat is
radiated forward from the front and up from the top.
