We're looking at a 1955 house with electric baseboard heating. We're
wondering how much distance we need to keep between the heaters and
furniture/curtains. Is it a few inches, or a couple of feet? The rooms
are small, so it makes a difference.
A few inches. Actually, the only thing you really have to watch out
for is that fabrics and plastics aren't directly touching the hot
baseboards. OTOH, just like any other kind of heating system, the
baseboards will do a better job of heating the room if they aren't
busy heating the back side of your furniture instead. :-)
