Re: Wireless Mouse

I have had a wireless keyboard and mouse for a couple of years. I have
had to change the batteries in the mouse only once. Mine is a wireless
optical mouse 2.0. I appears to be "on" (that is, the red light is on)
only when the mouse is moved.

My new computer has a wireless keyboard and mouse. The batteries in
the mouse (two AAs) go bad really fast. The mouse stays "on" all night
even though the computer isn't on. I called Dell and asked about it -
if there was a way to turn the mouse off - and was told by the tech rep
that the answer was no. I would have to just remove the batteries if I
wanted it "off". This doesn't sound right ... it's like leaving a
flash light on all the time.

Anybody on here have a wireless setup like this? How is it supposed to
work? This is the first one for me....my others were all wired.
Thanks.
