I am not a lawyer so you might want to get legal advice but I don't
believe they can keep anything except the earnest money. Did you lock
the first rate or let it float? I would take the 6.5% with the $1500
closing costs. That is not a bad deal however I can not see why it
would take two weeks to close if title and appraisal are already done.
