The building inspector is a public servant so
policy concerning his conditions of work cannot
be a secret.

givesmy interests. The building inspector doesn't profit from the advice he
me.
but town does from the permits they issue.
Same comment. The auditor of the municipality's
accounts should be able to point out the profit, if
any, and tell you who gets it. In this part of the
world taxpayers keep a close enough eye on City
Hall to prevent this sort of thing.
