Bitte was? Mein Internet-Provider (NTL) hat Outlook schon fuers Usenet vorkonfiguriert, wie ich durch Zufall erfahren habe (benutze T-Bird). OK, Outlook ist nicht der optimale Reader, aber lesen und posten kann man auch damit. Bessere Reader lassen sich in Sekunden installieren, viele davon umsonst.

Ich studiere unter anderem Soziologie *und* Informatik! Das technische Interesse habe ich schon sehr lange bzw. ich kenne auch die Newsgroups bereits seit Jahren. Auch wenn man einfach per Outlook und Co. auf Newsgroups zugreifen kann, muss man erst auf diese Idee kommen. Bei uns etwa muss man sich selbst um die Zugangsdaten beim Provider bemühen. Ich kenne viele in meinem Umfeld (auch Soziologen), die sich sehr gut mit dem Internet befreundet haben, denen jedoch Usenet kein Begriff ist! Ich denke die meisten sind mit den Foren zufrieden, wenn sie Informationen austauschen bzw. diskutieren wollen. Zudem kommt nun auch noch die Blogszene hinzu.
