Diese Animation besagt eigentlich das Gegenteil.

Sie vergleicht die Aufloesung eines 8m Teleskops mit Seeing, die des
HSTs, die des VLTs (8m adaptiv) und die des 100m OWL Teleskops. Und die
ESO kennt sich ja mit sowas aus. Bemerkemswert ist die Aufloesung des
OWL verglichen mit der des HST. Das OWL gibt fuer knapp ueber 1
Milliarde Euro und damit deutlich billiger als die Hubble Repair
Mission.
