Ich weiss nicht mal, was discrete equations sein sollen.
Es gibt wohl Kurse in discrete mathematics, wo Studenten
das Beweisen lernen sollen (Irrationalitaet von sqrt(2), unendlich
viele Primzahlen, etwas Graphentheorie, ...). Die Reihenfolge
haengt vom college und der Uni ab und laeuft in Harvard anders
als an einer drittklassigen staatlichen Uni. Wenn dich eine
bestimmte Uni interessiert: die haben alle webseiten, wo der
Inhalt der Kurse erklaert wird.


Hm, ja. Es ging nur darum, dass ich jemandem bei einer Bewerbung helfen
sollte / wollte (hatte mich da mit Anpreisung meines Sachverstands und
meiner Kenntnis etwas zu weit aus dem Fenster gelehnt). Da müssen die
gesamten bisherigen deutschen Mathekenntnisse aus Schule und Studum in
entsprechender Rangreihe aufgelistet werden (eben in der US
Bezeichnung, bzw. dem Pedant zu den deutschen Bezeichnungen). Damit war
/ bin ich denn doch überfordert.

Ich habs jetzt mal so sortiert:

- Calculus 4

- Advanced Calculus 2

Was Finite Mathematics ist und wo das hingehört, weiß ich nicht
recht. Das ist aber wohl, wie div. Calculus Kurse, für alle Business,
Engineering und Science Leute Pflicht im College.
