I've read the manual in the shop and I realized that there is no
possibility to constantly turn off the alarm system -
it can be only turned off when it sounds.
Yes it will do, at least at the model build some 13 years ago. On
power fail the buzzer goes off and when the temperature in the freezer
section raises more that 5 (?) degrees again the buzzer will sound.
It does not do anymore in our model but only after I removed the
buzzer from the circuit board.
And yes we do have power fails from time to time at night. Not a
problem as the alarm clock runs reliably on batteries, but a beeping
fridge can drive you up the wall.
Apart from that there was no other hassle in the last decade, only
they don't offer a current model in the right size for our kitchen so
I am looking for other brands now.
