Re: MiKTeX 2.7 vs. 2.6

Wird das 2.7 bei einem Update von 2.6
"drueber" installiert oder wird
die 2.6 weiter existieren?

Den Installationspfad kannst Du doch
IIRC im Installer auswählen. MiKTeX
2.7 trägt in die Registry einen 2.7er
Schlüssel ein, der sich vom 2.6er
unterscheidet.
Ja, bei der 2.5 auf 2.6 war das wohl auch
so, gab aber bei mir Probleme und ich konnte
das 2.5'er dann nicht mehr updaten... :-(

Bei Wahl eines anderen Installationspfades
wird in diesen Schlüssel auch ein anderer
Pfad eingetragen. Siehe auch meine kürzlichen

Fuer mich ist es halt insofern wichtig da ich
Anfang 2008 einen Abgabetermin habe. Ich
hatte damals Probleme die 2.5 zu "behalten"
und wenn ich mich noch recht entsinne wurde
auf die 2.6 geupdatet... Da hatte ich erstmal
einige Probleme... Ich bin zwar jetzt seit
einigen Wochen dazu uebergegangen meinen
2.6'er Tree immer wegzusichern bevor ich
update, aber gut waere es das genauer zu wissen
....damit ich mich darauf einstellen kann.

Ich werde zwar auch die 2.7 ausprobieren und
wenn es keine Probleme gibt umsteigen, aber
gut waere es halt wenn die 2.6 unabhaengig
von der 2.7 updatebar/pflegbar ist.
