(es geht nicht um den IPX-Voodoo-Fall!)

[nach inplace up 6.0.? auf 6.5.? hängt der Server im Reboot]

Wie mache ich den 4.11er jetzt also mit Gewalt zum Master, ohne das dessen NDS
zerbröselt (alle Post-NW4.11-eDir-Features können dabei gerne verloren gehen)?
Oder wäre es weniger Arbeit, den "neuen 6.5er" in die NDS zu hängen (geht das
ohne Master überhaupt ohne größere Probleme?) und den dann zum Master zu machen?

Btw, den ex6er kann ich ohne Probleme plätten, den 4.11er und dessen NDS
z.Zt. auf gar keinen Fall.

Die große Frage ist also, was ist kurzfristig am wenigsten Aufwand?

BIOS Upgrade? Hardware des Servers?

Das Upgrade ist absolut fehlerfrei durchgelaufen?
Du hast auch mit dem Deployment Manager geprüft, dass die prereq.s alle erfüllt
sind?

Mit einem weiteren Upgrade vergibst Du Dir IMHO nichts. Die aktuellen overlay
Scheiben hast Du sicher eh schon verwendet, vom 11. Jan. 2005 die zwei files
nw65*.iso:

Dann doch gleich so. Sauber neu und fertig. Oder muss das auf die SELBE Hardware?


Andere Platten übergangsweise zum Testen?
