Bei http://www.showmyip.com (der Unterschied in der URL ist "my") aber

Firefox, in dem ich ebenfalls diesen Proxy eintrage, macht es
ebenso. Warum weiß http://www.showmyip.com meine lokale IP?

Interessant, nehme ich:

export http_proxy=http://w/x/y/z:8008

wo der Privoxy mit Tor läuft, wird eine IP des Tor Netzwerks angezeigt
(lynx sowohl auch Firefox).
Warum klappt es dann?

Vielleicht weil dein Provoxy das Javascript weit genug verstuemmelt?
