Serielle Schnittstelle einbauen? USB-Seriell-Adapter verwenden?
Serielle Schnittstelle einbauen geht nicht - kein Steckplatz frei und
die zwei vorhandenen Schnittstellen sind belegt.
Den USB-Adapter habe ich noch nicht probiert. Ist das eine sichere
Sache oder nach der Devise: Manchmal funktioniert es man muss halt
probieren?
Es gibt mindestens zwei Treiber für USB-RS232-Adapter.
Der eine (1.) unterstützt verschiedene Adapter,
der andere (2.) nur die dieses Herstellers.
Auf www.ecomstation.com findet sich:

Prerequisites
It is recommended to install the latest IDE/DASD Driver package when using
the Quatech USB to serial driver to transfer large amount of data at high
speeds (115200 bps and above). Older IDE/DASD drivers may not use optimal
DMA/UDMA data transfer setting resulting in high CPU utilization for large
disk data transfers. This may result in a loss of connection error.
Introduction
The USBQSER.EXE driver package provides support for USB to Serial Adapters
manufactured by Quatech Inc. on the OS/2 Operating System.
Quatech USB to Serial Adapter Support
The USBQSER.EXE driver package includes the OS/2 Quatech USB to Serial
Driver (USBQSER.SYS) that supports the following USB to Serial Adapters:
SSU-100 1 port USB to RS-232 serial adapter
DSU-100 2 port USB to RS-232 serial adapter
QSU-100 4 port USB to RS-232 serial adapter
ESU-100 8 port USB to RS-232 serial adapter
HSU-100 16 port USB to RS-232 serial adapter
A maximum data rate of 460800 bps possible for any one port under certain
conditions. However, actual data rates depend on the number of
simultaneously-operating ports and many external factors including the
processing speed of the host computer, the quality and length of cables,
hardware flow control, and whether the data flow is continuous or occurs
in sporadic bursts.
Selbst habe ich keine Erfahrung damit. Du musst darauf achten, dass der
Adapter vom USB-Seriell-Treiber unterstützt wird.
Ich habe mal den * Belkin F5U103 USB Serial Adapter (1.) probiert. Der
Treiber ordnet einen COM-Port zu. Der Kaan-Chip-Kartenleser wurde aber vom
Bankprogramm moneyplex (4.5) nicht gefunden. Da mir inzwischen die
Chip-Karte kaputt ging, habe ich die Tests nicht weiterverfolgt.
Der Anbieter Quatech (2.) erwähnt OS/2. Vielleicht ist eine
Kontaktaufnahme sinnvoll, um Unterstützung zu erhalten.
